🚓🐾🏁 Pack 480 Has Been on the Move! 🏁🐾🚓

The last several weeks have been packed with excitement, learning, and a whole lot of fun for Cub Scout Pack 480!

We had a special visit from a local Police K9 Unit, where our Scouts learned about safety, teamwork, and the important role K9 units play in protecting our community (and yes — meeting the dog was definitely a highlight! 🐶).

Then the engines started revving for our Pack Pinewood Derby! From design to race day, our Scouts showed off their creativity, sportsmanship, and serious speed on the track.

As if that wasn’t enough, Pack 480 proudly hosted the District-Wide Pinewood Derby Mall Show, welcoming Scouts from across two entire districts to showcase their cars. It was an awesome opportunity to represent our pack, celebrate everyone’s hard work, and share the excitement of Scouting with the community.

🌟 Introducing: our new Scout Leader Spotlight! 🌟

Each week, we’ll highlight one of the amazing adults who help make Pack 480 such an awesome place to learn, grow, and have fun. Our leaders give their time and heart to make every adventure unforgettable!

Kicking off our first spotlight: Unit Commissioner Keith Kifer!
Keith has been a dedicated supporter of Scouting for over 40 years (wow!!) and a guiding force for our pack. Here's a look at his story, favorite Scouting moments, and what inspires him to support our Cubs.

✨ Keith was inspired to become a Scout leader by his dad, and his favorite part about working within Pack 480? is "spending time with my granddaughter", one of our most enthusiastic and sweet Lion cub scouts!

🌄Keith brings an incredible wealth of outdoor and leadership skills - just take a look at his extended rafting trip on the Colorado River!

💛 If Keith could teach scouts only one life lesson or value, it would to, "Be nice to others and give back to the community."

⛱️🏕️ And a fun fact about Keith: he's retired!

Our Scouts enjoyed an Adventure Elective Day this weekend - a day to learn and play with other scouts and their siblings!

Our Lion (kindergarten) den had a blast exploring engineering and teamwork in the “Build It Up, Knock It Down” adventure by designing, stacking, and testing their own creations, learning how things stand tall and what makes them tumble down! Our Tigers (1st graders) explored the many ways people connect in the “Tiger Communication” adventure by learning to share messages through Braille, sign language, and even Morse code! And of course, we had fun in the great outdoors ⛺✨

At Cub Scout Pack 480, we believe in having fun, yes, but more importantly, we’re building confidence, friendships, and life skills that last a lifetime.

Pack 480 had a fang-tastic night at our annual Halloween party! 🦇 👻 Our Cub Scout Pack 480 scouts, families, and friends came together for an evening full of fun, games, hayrides, and a few friendly frights! There were very creative costumes and spooky games, pumpkin painting and a screaming good costume parade and contest. Everyone had a blast!
