🎉 THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for Grow Westmoreland's Summer Bash: A Toast to the Trades on Friday evening!

What an incredible night of great food (thank you, Live Casino Pittsburgh!), music (thank you, Chase with Moxie Events!), networking, raffles...and gelato!

We were especially excited to announce that Grow Westmoreland was able to award $20,000 to Penn State Extension – Westmoreland County 4-H in support of their youth development programming. We are proud to support initiatives that help develop leadership skills, hands-on learning experiences, and future opportunities for young people throughout our community.

Thank you again to everyone who attended and helped make this event such a success!

🌱 What a great afternoon at the Founders Market at Founders Park in Hempfield Township!

Grow Westmoreland had the chance to connect with some amazing local vendors, including our friends at Gillis Family Farm, and see firsthand the impact local agriculture is making in our community. 💛

One of the highlights was hearing about their rolling chicken coop, made possible in part through Grow Westmoreland grant funding. It's exciting to see innovative ideas come to life and help support the growth and success of local family farms!

Be sure to stop by the Founders Market every Tuesday from 3:00–7:00 PM to shop local, support our farmers and producers, and enjoy all the great things our community has to offer. 🌽🍅🥚🚜

Grow Westmoreland is excited to open applications for our Scholarship & Workforce Grant Program! 🎓🔧🌱

We are proud to support young adults pursuing careers in the skilled trades and agriculture right here in Westmoreland County. Whether you're continuing your education, entering workforce training, or stepping directly into a career, we’re here to help you get started.
✅ Applicants must:
• Live in Westmoreland County
• Plan to work, train, or continue education locally
• Be ages 18–25
• Be a graduating senior, current student, or entering the workforce
• Be pursuing a career in skilled trades or agriculture
📅 Deadline to apply: April 30
This is an incredible opportunity to receive funding for education, training, tools, and workforce needs—while staying and growing in our community 💪
