🥫💙 A HUGE THANK YOU to Carclo Technical Plastics – Latrobe! 💙🥫

We are incredibly grateful to the employees of Carclo Technical Plastics in Latrobe and Michelle DeSanders for holding a food drive to support WIN-Spirations and the individuals and families we serve.

And WOW — they delivered! Their team collected a significant amount of food, filling our shelves and helping ensure that we can continue providing much-needed food assistance to people throughout our community.

Donations like this make an immediate difference. Every bag, box, and item donated helps a neighbor who may be experiencing food insecurity or facing financial hardship.

Stop by to learn about Narcan (naloxone), how it reverses an opioid overdose, when and how to administer it, and why having it available can mean the difference between life and death. We will also be distributing FREE Narcan!

At WIN, we believe everyone deserves an opportunity for a fresh start. Our Workforce Development Program supports individuals impacted by current or past opioid use, those in recovery, and individuals facing employment barriers related to reentry or criminal backgrounds.

Through employment readiness, digital literacy, job placement assistance, and supportive services, we help individuals overcome barriers, rebuild confidence, and move toward financial independence.

An overdose can happen to anyone. Knowing how to respond can save a life, and reducing stigma can help someone feel comfortable asking for the support they need.

This initiative is made possible through Opioid Abatement funding provided by Westmoreland County Department of Human Services.

Together, we can save lives, support recovery, and create pathways to meaningful employment.

Welcome to the NorthSide Digital Literacy Class!

In collaboration with the NorthSide North Shore Chamber of Commerce, NorthSide Works! and One NorthSide, the WIN Workforce Development Program is pleased to offer free or low-cost custom individual and group digital literacy classes to individuals facing economic hardship seeking to remove employment barriers and find sustainable employment.

💜 National Save a Life Day | September 25

In recognition of National Save a Life Day, the WIN Workforce Development Program is proud to join communities across the country in helping put life-saving resources into the hands of those who may need them.

On September 25, we will be distributing FREE Narcan (naloxone) at the WIN Workforce Development Program Center in Greensburg.

Narcan can temporarily reverse an opioid overdose, giving someone precious time to receive emergency medical care. You never know when having it available could help save a friend, family member, coworker, neighbor—or a complete stranger.

The opioid crisis has touched families and communities everywhere. At WIN, our work goes beyond helping individuals find employment. We work alongside people impacted by opioid and substance use, recovery, and the barriers that can make moving forward difficult.

Stop by, pick up Narcan, and be prepared to save a life.

Today, two of our WIN team members, Amber Lee Alberts and Amanda Toth , are taking some well-deserved time to Pause with Purpose. 💙

A huge thank you to the Staunton Farm Foundation for recognizing that those who spend their days supporting others also need opportunities to recharge, connect, and care for themselves.

Today’s Pause with Purpose event brings together behavioral health and substance use disorder professionals from across the region for a restorative morning focused on well-being, connection, and renewal.

At WIN, our team works every day alongside individuals and families navigating barriers to employment, recovery, behavioral health challenges, and other life circumstances. That work is incredibly meaningful—but taking care of the people doing the work matters, too.

We are grateful that Amber and Amanda have the opportunity to participate in today’s experience and enjoy some time dedicated to their own wellness.

The recent power outages have created an additional hardship for many individuals and families who have lost refrigerated and frozen food — an unexpected expense that can be especially difficult for households already working to get back on their feet.
