As we step into the days after Christmas, we hold tightly to the message of hope, peace, and redemption that Jesus brought into the world. Even as we rejoice, we are mindful of the suffering of others. We lift up Nigeria, where recent violence and deadly strikes in the northwest have taken lives and shaken communities. May the Lord stretch out His hand to protect the vulnerable, comfort the grieving, and guide leaders toward peace.

We also continue to pray for the Buddhist monks walking for peace through our area. May God grant them safety, strength, and protection — and cover even their small companion animal along the way.

As we move into the New Year, Vessels of Mercy is actively seeking dedicated men who are willing to volunteer their time inside the prison. If you feel called to serve, mentor, sponsor, or simply show up with compassion and consistency, we invite you to step forward.
