Three lucky W-4 Paws Working Cats are setup to start their 30 Day acclimation period. FCAP volunteers traveled with these three to set them up in Reidsville, NC this weekend! Shelter names are Pocket Lint, Dynamo and Spit Ball. They are going on a property for rodent control! Excuse the mess in their crates ... this was the morning after their first overnight in their crates. This population of cats are not used to confinement and can get a bit messy when first crated!

Our W-4 Paws Working Cat Program is reserved for cats that enter Guilford County Animal Services that are assessed as not adoptable to the general public. FCAP provides the temporary acclimation crates and our volunteers go boots on ground to set these cats up for success!!! We work close with adopters to facilitate the entire process. We bring a lot of experience to this process. Cats eligible for our program have entered our shelter, trapped from outside situations, and will not have positive outcomes if we can not place them!

All cats are spay/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, are up to date on flea and tick preventatives and have a left eartip!

Progress is being made!!!! FCAP is doing our part to help feral cats that end up at Guilford County Animal Services by placing them through our W-4 Paws Working Cat Program! There are still more cats entering the shelter than can be placed … however … it’s innovative partnerships that make the No-Kill Movement possible!

📊 The 2025 national shelter data shows undeniable momentum toward no-kill. 🎉

From a roof top rescue by the Fire Department with a Dorito bag stuck on his head, to Guilford County Animal Services, to FCAP’s spay/neuter clinic and now part of our W-4 Paws Working Cat Program. Dorito was placed with Hazel, also from the shelter … and they are inside a climate controlled shop in acclimation crates starting a new life as shop cats at a plant nursery in Pfafftown, NC! If you are interested in adopting a W-4 Paws working cat, contact us at [email protected]. We come to you and help with the setup and loan the acclimation crates!

Thank you All Pets Considered for making us your Rescue Roundup Partner for February ❤️

February Rescue Round-Up: Feral Cat Assistance Program 💖🐱

This February, we’re sharing the love with an organization that’s making a lifesaving difference for community cats right here in Greensboro, Feral Cat Assistance Program (FCAP)!

They are our featured February Rescue Round-Up nonprofit, and we’re honored to spotlight their incredible work.

When you shop with us this month, you can round up your purchase at checkout, and 100% of your round-up donation goes directly to FCAP. Those small acts of kindness truly add up to big change for feral and free-roaming cats in our community.

FCAP is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of free-roaming community cats through a humane Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) program. Founded in 1996, FCAP has remained steadfast in its mission to promote compassionate, effective solutions for feral cats.

Through community education, advocacy for proper care, public access to cat traps, and management of a high-volume, ultra-low-cost spay/neuter clinic, FCAP works tirelessly to reduce suffering and create healthier lives for community cats. As a volunteer-run organization, they rely entirely on donations and grants to continue this vital work.

This February, show some love to cats who need it most by rounding up in support of FCAP.Every dollar helps make a lasting impact.

UPDATE!!! WE EXCEEDED OUR GOAL, raised $2,403 and will get our Matchinig Funds from United Spay Alliance. We are closing this fundraiser today.

We are sorry for the slow process on our end with updating the envelope stories. TODAY we will start revealing the cat stories from our envelopes ... EVERY CAT will get their story told ... THANKS TO OUR GENEROUS DONORS. The work we do is hard ... but with supporters like we have ... it is much easier!!!! THANK YOU.

UPDATE! We are making progress and have a few cash donations to add to our total! BUT ... we have a long way to go to reach $2,000 by January 15th. Please consider a donation! When an envelope is purchased it reveals the story of a cat that FCAP has been able to help!!! There are so many good stories in the comments below!

🎉 Exciting News! 🐾 FCAP has once again received the United Spay Alliance Matching Funds grant! 🎊 AND we need YOUR help to raise $2,000 BY JANUARY 15, 2026 to unlock an additional $2,000 in matching funds! 💰✨

Join our fun “Digital Envelope Fundraiser”! HOW IT WORKS:

1. In the comment sections below, tell us the number of the envelope you select 🐈❤️

2. Click the Donate Button and donate the amount of that envelope $ number.

3. We will tell the story of an "FCAP Cat" assigned to that envelope number!
