Thank you, Dr. Fort, for paving the way. Rest well, Aggie 💙💛

A giant of an education leader and a prolific academician who served our great university as its eighth chancellor for 17 years, Chancellor Emeritus Edward B. Fort passed away Sunday, Aug. 9.

All told, he was chancellor, chancellor emeritus and a professor of educational leadership for 42 years. The impact of a trailblazer of that magnitude cannot be quantified.

We deeply mourn his passing yet celebrate his remarkable life. Our thoughts and prayers are extended to family and friends.
