This week, NAIOP North Carolina held our annual Advocacy Days, bringing together industry leaders from across the state to discuss the future of commercial real estate and its impact on North Carolina’s economy.

On Monday, leadership heard valuable updates from North Carolina Department of Transportation, Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, and North Carolina Realtors before meeting with House and Senate legislators on Tuesday to advocate for priorities that support continued growth across our state.

Earlier this week we hosted our last Program for 2025! Thank you for a wonderful panel learning more about what’s to love and what’s to come in the Triad presented by Kelly Harrill, Anthony Cordo, CDME CMP, Melody Burnett, CDME, CATP, and Christian Schroeder. We also want to thank our 2025 Board of Directors for a successful year! All of your hard work does not go unnoticed. Lastly, thank you to everyone has attended any of our 2025 Programs. We hope you have a wonderful Holiday Week and a Happy Thanksgiving!

This was more than just a NAIOP Piedmont Triad strategic planning dinner, it was an opportunity to connect with fellow board members and industry leaders whose leadership and dedication have helped shape the organization we know today.

What makes a great Board of Directors? Collaboration! Taking the time to get to know the people you’re working with, exploring the diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and interests they bring to the table, and enjoying the journey together — that’s what truly strengthens our organization and our impact.

Thank you to our board members for their continued leadership, insight, and commitment to advancing commercial real estate across the Piedmont Triad. A special thank you to Cyndi Dancy and John Davenport, Jr. who end their board service term this year, but will continue on in committee leadership positions.

We had a packed room at the NAIOP Piedmont Triad September Capital Markets panel. Special thank you to Griffin Duncan, Rhonda Joyce, and Brian Bode, CFA for the timely discussion. Special thank you to program committee member Patrick Lineberry for bringing everyone together.

There is no NAIOP Piedmont Triad program in October (see you on the greens at Grandover for the sold out golf tournament!) and we will be back to a regular program schedule in November.
