$5,597.24 closes out the 2025–2026 school year of providing weekly food bags to our scholars!

To every individual, business, and organization that partnered with us during our second year of service—thank you.

In addition to providing weekly food bags, we launched After the Bell Rings, our YouTube series dedicated to raising awareness about childhood hunger and sharing the impact of Delia's Pantry. Through weekly food bags and full-sized pantry kits that supported entire households, we helped bridge the gap between meals for many families in our community.

Thanks to your support, 30 families received food assistance every week throughout the school year. Your partnership ensured that children and families had access to food when they needed it most.

As we celebrate the close of another successful year, we do so with immense gratitude. Thank you for believing in this work, investing in our scholars, and helping us make a difference—one meal, one family, and one child at a time.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. ❤️

It's our last week of serving weekly food bags for the 2025-2026 school year; and for many, hope is found in what others consider everyday essentials. At Bessemer Elementary, that hope takes shape through a village of support—providing food that bridges the gap between the last school-provided meal on Friday and the first one on Monday morning.

We hope that you'll enjoy this video and share it with others!

Wednesdays can feel like a midweek drag, and we may have found a way to overcome that! Serving others! Serving others can take your mind off of how you feel; especially when you know how much your act of kindness will be appreciated 💛 The kiddos are back from Spring Break, and our weekly packing has resumed. These bags will be passed out on Friday ☺️

Spring Break 2026 is here, and our Educators deserve this time of rest and refreshing! What makes the arrival of Spring Break even better? Receiving a pantry donation drop off that will help to ensure a seamless transition into resuming weekly packing upon our scholars' return! Thank you to the hands, hearts, and wallets 🤣, of the Faith Assembly #3 Order of the Golden Circle PHA-DC, and their President, Jasmine Young for this extremely generous contribution. It has been properly stored, and waiting for good use! Thank you!!!

The service of Delia's Pantry couldn't be done with one set of hands only! On any given week, there is someone ordering food for delivery, receiving deliveries, loading and unloading, packing and distributing to the students each and every Friday. We are grateful for our volunteer from NC A&T State University who helped pack for Spring Break; and with a smile, too! Truly a team effort 🫶🏾

Just a quick check in for our pantry pals! Preparation for Spring Break '26 is in full swing. First stop, Lidl US! Our take home totes, prepped for 30 families, will hold 10 days worth of food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and water) with several family style options included for families with siblings/relatives that don't attend Bessemer Elementary. We have a few more stops to make, but it's coming together!

Words cannot fully express the depth of gratitude that Delia’s Pantry has for the Eastern Region Executive Board of Zeta Phi Beta, Incorporated, and their commitment to community service. On Thursday, we reached out to our followers with an urgent need; one that would determine whether we could support our 30 scholars and their families during Spring Break, and Zeta Phi Beta, Incorporated answered with a $1,000 donation! There wasn't a dry eye around as the room was filled with testament to the truth of childhood hunger, and how much serving is a privilege. This contribution will not only allow us to serve without financial burden, but will help us to resume weekly serving, with ease, once students return in April. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!
