StepUp Greensboro

StepUp Greensboro StepUp Greensboro Motivates, Empowers, and Equips individuals to become self-sufficient and stable through Employment and Life Skills.

StepUp Greensboro prepares people who are ready, willing and able to make positive changes in their lives for jobs and more stable lives. Our programs help people living in poverty and those who are homeless, including veterans, the formerly incarcerated and families with children. We believe that every person has the right to work and access to a better life. We believe that people can change if

they have the desire and will. We acknowledge that empowerment is a far more powerful strategy for change and success than enabling. We expect honesty, discipline and fairness of ourselves and others. We encourage accountability and responsibility from all involved. We honor diversity and understand that every individual has a voice. We are committed to collaboration with others because few problems can be solved alone. We strive to be careful stewards of human and financial resources.

We Do Community Different. 💙💚

At StepUp Greensboro, community means more than showing up. It means paying attention to the needs of the people we serve—and when we have the resources to help meet those needs, we do.

Today, we’re sharing food that was generously donated to us with our participants.

Because when our community pours into us, we believe in pouring it right back into our community.

This is what “We Do Community Different” looks like.

We see the need. We share the resources. We serve with purpose.
That’s StepUp Greensboro. 💙

👔 Clothing Closet Day for Our Participants!Busy is an understatement! But we’re blessed to have amazing volunteers who help make days like this possible. 🙌🏾

Our volunteers spent the day assisting participants as they searched for the perfect interview attire—helping them find clothing that not only looks professional but helps them feel confident and prepared to walk into their next interview.

A special THANK YOU to our incredible volunteers and our amazing community for continuing to support our team and our participants. Your time, generosity, and willingness to serve make a meaningful difference! 💙

Our participant, Elisha W., has shown incredible tenacity since we first met her over a year ago. She refused to let adversity stand in the way of her goals, and we’ve had the privilege of watching her check them off one by one.

Today, we celebrate another incredible milestone as Elisha received her new car through Wheels4Hope.

Partnerships like this truly change the trajectory of our participants’ lives. Reliable transportation creates opportunities for employment, stability, and greater independence, and we couldn’t be more grateful to witness this moment.

Congratulations, Elisha! Your resilience continues to inspire us, and we’re honored to be part of your journey. ❤️

🍽️ We Need Your Help!

During our Job Readiness Week Training, we make it a priority to provide each of our participants with a hot meal. These meals are made possible through the generosity of caring individuals, businesses, faith communities, organizations, fraternities, and sororities throughout our community.

As our participants work toward employment, financial stability, and self-sufficiency, a nourishing meal reminds them they are seen, valued, and supported.

If you would like to sponsor a hot meal and dessert for 35 participants Monday August 3rd, we would love to partner with you. Your generosity will help fuel hope, encouragement, and opportunity for individuals taking meaningful steps toward a brighter future. Please contact our volunteer coordinator Carina Cole @ [email protected] or call 336-675-5871 extension 310

Together, we can nourish hope—one meal at a time.
