Congratulations to Tamra Hunt! We are so proud of her!

Creative Greensboro will host visual artist Tamra Hunt as a part of the Greensboro Residency for Original Works (GROW) program from Tuesday, June 2, through Monday, June 29. During her four-week residency, Hunt will create abstract visual artwork inspired by the sounds of musical instruments, the human voice, and everyday objects.

Throughout her residency, Hunt will invite visitors into the improvisatory practice of transforming sound into visual expression through hands-on guided workshops and open studio hours where participants can freely experiment and explore. All materials will be provided, including small musical instruments and found objects for making sounds, as well as a variety of art materials to respond visually through intuitive mark making.

The GROW residency space is located next to the Davie Street entrance of the Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 N. Davie St. To learn more about the residency, visit www.CreativeGreensboro.com, or contact Naomi Woods at 336-373-2661.
