Would you like to engage your students with hands-on experiences learning about gardening? If you would like funds to start a school garden, revitalize a previously abandoned school garden, or improve/expand an existing school garden, apply for the Guilford County Extension Master Gardener’s℠ School Garden Grant!

✈️ Save the Date! Wings for All returns to PTI on September 26, 2026!

Wings for All is a special program that helps children with disabilities and their families become more comfortable with air travel by practicing the airport experience before taking a trip.

Participants will:
🔹 Check in and receive boarding passes
🔹 Go through TSA security
🔹 Board an aircraft
🔹 Experience the airport in a welcoming, supportive environment

🧡 Registration opens Monday, August 10, at 9:00 a.m.

Participation is limited, and spots fill up quickly. Be sure to follow our partner organizations for registration details and updates:

| Summer meals will return to GCS starting on June 15!☀️🥪

Families have two options:

🍎Pick up seven days worth of breakfasts and lunch once a week at one of four meals-to-go sites; or
🍎Dine in for breakfast and lunch daily at any of our 13 summer meal distribution sites.

Families must register for the meals-to-go option and can not visit a meals-to-go and dine-in site during the same week.

Summer Movies in the Park are back.

Flashback Friday to one of the best parts of summer: movies under the stars, snack runs to the kiosks, and claiming the perfect lawn spot before the previews start.

As always, admission is completely free. Just bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and favorite movie crew. We’ll handle the big screen. 🍿🎬

Creative Greensboro seeks public input into ways to make the Stephen D. Hyers Theatre – located within the Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 N. Davie St. – more accessible to the public. The department is gathering data as a new seasonal rental program is developed that will make the space available for community use, in conjunction with the Residency at the Hyers program, and the playwriting and youth theatre programs.
