Our Psi Chi chapter is updating its Constitution, and we encourage all members to read the revised version, ask questions, and cast their vote!

This is all done in our Canvas group. Just go to the "Updated Psi Chi Constitution" module to read all about the changes, ask questions in the Discussion forum, and cast a vote.

Voting closes April 10!

Our next Psi Chi/Psyc Club event is Tuesday, Feb 25 (5 pm, EBER 250).

We'll talk about research experience, hear from the many PSY labs who are looking for PSY 433 students next semester, and eat donuts!

It's a great way to hear about the range of research experiences available in the dept and talk with people afterward if you're interested in joining the lab.

Mental Health Volunteer Opportunity!

Dr. Keane and Dr. Nelson-Gray are seeking bilingual Spanish speaking students who are interested in being trained in doing mental health interpreting and serving as interpreters at the Newcomer's School for recent immigrant children and their families receiving mental health support. The Psychology department places two graduate students at the Newcomer's School who are there to provide psychological support to students, and there have been bilingual undergrads helping interpret for these counseling sessions.

Although this is a volunteer position, students would be able to sign up for the PSY 472 internship course and receive course credit for their work.

If you're interested, please contact Dr. Keane ([email protected]) or Dr. Nelson-Gray ([email protected]) to set up a brief interview.
