The Hamilton Lakes & Parks Spring Fishing Clinic returned to Lake Hamilton on Saturday, May 9th, with another outstanding turnout of young anglers, seasoned fishermen, volunteers, and plenty of hungry fish. Crisp morning temperatures and overcast skies gradually gave way to beautiful blue skies, creating a perfect day on the water for neighbors and families to gather and enjoy one of Hamilton Lakes’ longtime community traditions.
A special thank you goes to the volunteers who continue to make these clinics possible year after year:
• Bob Broussard — celebrating more than 18 years of volunteering with Hamilton Lakes & Parks Fishing Clinics.
• Jamie Culbertson — also marking 18 years of service. Jamie grew up in Hamilton Lakes and now travels from Palm Coast, Florida each year to help with the event.
• Robert Smith — HLP Board member, volunteer, and weekend coordinator whose leadership helped make this year’s clinic another success.
Robert is proudly stepping into the role long held by former HLP Board member and neighborhood champion Jack Baylis, who helped establish this biannual fishing tradition 18 years ago and whose dedication helped shape it into the special community event it is today.
Please join us again on Sunday, September 20th from 9:00 a.m. until noon at Lake Euphemia for another exciting morning of fishing, followed by a Fall Picnic featuring food trucks and live music from 5:00–7:00 p.m. that evening.
Thank you for supporting the Hamilton Lakes & Parks community traditions that continue to bring neighbors together.
Brought to you by your Hamilton Lakes & Parks Board.
