August is National Breastfeeding Month, and at FSNCC, we recognize that every family’s feeding journey looks different—especially in the NICU.

For some, that journey includes nursing or pumping. For others, it may include donor or fortified milk, formula, combination feeding, or plans that changed along the way.

This month, we celebrate the hard work, love, and dedication that goes into feeding a baby in whatever way works best for each family. 💗

A huge thank you to Stephanie and John Garner for treating our NICU families to a wonderful luncheon! 💜

Stephanie has been a dedicated FSNCC volunteer for more than a decade, and it was especially meaningful to see the whole family giving back together. Their twin daughters, Iris and Elouise, were born prematurely in 2013 and spent their first weeks in the NICU.

The luncheon was made even more special as the family celebrated Iris and Elouise's birthday last week. 🎉 Seeing former NICU families return to support those just beginning their NICU journey is always a beautiful reminder of how far they've come.

Thank you, Stephanie, John, Iris, and Elouise, for your generosity and for making such a difference for our NICU families. 💙

💙 Thank you to the Buchanan family for providing lunch for NICU families today!
Nineteen years after their twins' NICU journey, the Buchanan family continues to give back by providing lunch for families currently in the NICU.

Their kindness is a beautiful reminder that hope and support come full circle. Thank you, Buchanan family, for making a difference for families during one of the most challenging times in their lives.

Join us for an evening of connection, fun, and celebration on Saturday, August 8, from 4:30–7:30 p.m. at the Barber Park Sprayground. Current and former NICU families, disability families, NICU staff, and healthcare providers are invited to enjoy a cookout dinner, sprayground fun, and time together with the FSNCC community.

Hosted by the FSNCC Board of Directors, this free event is also a Pay It Forward fundraiser supporting future families served by FSNCC. While there is no cost to attend, we invite you to consider making a donation during registration.
