Meet the Production Team of A Christmas Carol!
Keaton Brower (Director) is a Kernersville-based director, actor, and educator. Since 2023 he has been the Lead Theatre Instructor at North Carolina Governor’s School East in Raleigh; in 2025 he also became the Theatre Director at Penn-Griffin School for the Arts in High Point. Directing credits include A Christmas Carol (Carolina Ensemble Theatre), the world premieres of Captive, Song of the Spinners, and Sunrise Reverie (NCGSE), as well as James and the Giant Peach (Piedmont Players Theatre) and Deathtrap (Triad Pride Acting Co.). Assistant directing: Dracula (Triad Stage), the National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere of Ripe Frenzy (New Repertory Theatre/Boston Center for American Performance), and more. Acting: A Christmas Carol (CET, NCShakes), Much Ado About Nothing (RhinoLeap Productions), Unto These Hills (Cherokee Historical Association), the upcoming short film Heaven’t (JNR Productions), and more. He holds a BFA in Theatre Arts (Performance) with a Minor in Arts Leadership from Boston University, a Diploma in Classical Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, a High School Diploma in Drama from UNC School of the Arts, and a Certificate in Theatre from NC Governor’s School East.
Kaitlyne Colbert Story (Music Director) is delighted to be returning for her fifth year with the company of a Christmas Carol with CET for the first time in the roles of Music Director and Soprano Caroler. In past seasons, Story performed the role of Belle and understudied both Soprano and Alto Carolers. Kaitlyne has performed regionally and internationally on the opera and musical theater stage. She was last seen onstage as Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof with CTG. In 2023, she debuted her first work as a playwright titled The Kitchen. Other favorite roles include Shelby in Steel Magnolias, Sibella in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Doralee in 9 to 5, and Papagena in Die Zauberflöte. Story is an avid musician, actor, and writer. She would like to thank her husband, Kyle Story and her family for always supporting her creative work.
Brittany Carter (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be part of this Triad Christmas tradition for another season! Her previous professional work includes: PSM- La Boheme (Opera on the James) Three Sisters (Boston Conservatory) A Poet’s Love, Only An Octave Apart (Spoleto Festival USA) Galaxies In Her Eyes (Presented at HPU Planetarium) Measure for Measure (Goodly Frame Theatre) ASM- Omar (Spoleto Festival USA, Carolina Performing Arts) Frankenstein, A Christmas Carol (Goodly Frame Theatre) It’s A Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol (Triad Stage) Pagliacci (Piedmont Opera). Her educational work includes: PSM- Hear Our Voices, Feeding the Moonfish, Here We Go, Urinetown (UNCG School of Theater).
Gitana Havner (Production Manager) has had the wonderful privilege to join Carolina Ensemble Theatre’s 2025 production of A Christmas Carol as the production manager. Previously Gitana was the production manager for Triad Stage’s 20th season. Most recently she worked on Piedmont Opera’s Pagliacci as an assistant stage manager. She is currently finishing up her graduate degree for clinical mental health in counseling. Whenever she is not working in the theatre she enjoys spending time with her partner Andy and playing with her three fur babies!
Emily Moore (Assistant Stage Manager) is delighted to return to A Christmas Carol. This is her third year working on this production. Emily received her Associates in Technical Theatre and GTCC. She originally went into theatre for acting and later switched to tech, with a primary focus in stage management . She has worked with Stained Glass Playhouse as the stage manager for Red Velvet Cake Wars, and CTG as a summer camp counselor.
Alyssa Wagoner (Assistant Stage Manager) is currently studying Drama and Arts Administration at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. She has enjoyed all aspects of theatre, from acting to directing. Past roles have included Assistant Stage Manager for UNCG's ReformEd, Lighting Designer for Playhouse's "A Charlie Brown", and Technical Director for WilsonArts' "A Little Mermaid". Passionate in making theatre, Alyssa is thankful to Carolina Ensemble Theatre for welcoming her to the Christmas Carol Team!
Michael Johnson (Sound Designer) is a retired Theater Arts Educator of 30 years, father, husband and theater arts generalist who now serves as a Performance Support Specialist for Creative Greensboro, as the Development Chairperson for NC Theater Arts Educators and as the Chairperson for the Backstage Challenge serving students at the North Carolina Theater Arts Festival. Mr. Johnson holds a Masters of Arts, Fine Arts and enjoys serving in technical support roles for theatrical performance. Mr. Johnson’s most recent work can be seen in the lighting design for Holiday Inn and Twas the Night Before Christmas at Theatre Alliance in Winston Salem.
Claire Daniel (Lighting Designer) is excited to be making her debut with Caroline Ensemble Theatre for light designing: A Christmas Carol. Her most recent credits include: Feeding Beatrice: Stage Managing & Light Design for Anything Goes Jr. with Little Theatre of Winston Salem.When she's not working in the triad she works around different theatres in Asheville, NC. Her Favorites this summer include SARTS 51st season as Assistant Stage Manager, Master Electrician: Smoke on the mountain,Noises Off , & A Streetcar Named Desire. Her show kept close to her heart was being the Lighting Designer for Hunchback of Norte Dame at SART. Recently she worked on shows at Dogged Utopia Productions as their Lighting Designer for the 2025 season.Her past shows she designed for were 9 to 5 at Mars Hill College, Daddy Long Legs, Song for a New World at Asheville Musical Theatre and so much more! She also has been working at Land of oz for the last 5 years! She hopes everyone enjoys the show!
