It’s been a while but I wanted to share that we’re riding again (after 7 years) in ALS TDIs Tri-State Trek. We’d love to have more people join us as a part of the ride or crew.

ALS TDI is on amazing organization and I know they’ll never stop looking for treatments and ultimately a cure.

We often get questions about how people can help...THIS is the kind of thing everyone can do everyday.

Please sign to help drive help advocate for the patient care that is needed desperately.

ALS patients desperately need the ALS Association to ACT IMMEDIATELY to address and correct home care issues. There is miscommunication, as well as a knowledge deficit, of the home health services options available through insurance programs, including Medicare. There is also a great disparity bet…

Thank you to everyone who came out Thursday night to support our first fundraising event - wine and paint at Muse Paintbar at Patriot Place! We had a blast and raised just shy of $500 between the ticket sales and change collected.

Often Awesome is officially participating in the Tri-State Trek June 24th-26th, 2016. The TST raises money to support ALS TDI, a nonprofit who works tirelessly to find a treatment and cure for ALS. Their employees are amazing and were unbelievably supportive for ALS patients and their families too which becomes apparent when seeing how many employees commit to ride the 270 miles for the Trek.

We'd love to have anyone interested join us for one, two or all three days or you can support our team (or individuals on our team) right here - http://tst.als.net/oftenawesome.

Help us help ALS TDI make ALS suck less.

From our friend Steve Saling :
"Okay, here we go again. frown emoticon Medicare continues to try to deny technology to the disabled. First, it was the computers that allow pALS to speak but we beat them back with the Steve Gleason Act. Now, Medicare is trying to deny the disabled the customized power wheelchairs that allow people like me to live a mobile lifestyle. I don't know why they want me stuck in my bed for the rest of my life but I need your help to tell Congress to block this wrongful action. It has to be passed before January 1 so please take 10 minutes to add your voice to mine today. The link below will explain a little more and shows the letter I wrote. Thank you for your support once again and please share."

This Act will prevent the Medicare program from cutting payments for complex rehab wheelchair accessories such as custom head support and seating systems, mounting hardware, adjustable leg rests, and specialty drive controls among other wheelchair accesso
