Architectural Salvage of Greensboro ASG is a non-profit volunteer project of Preservation Greensboro, Incorporated to recycle and re-purpose vintage building materials.

Proceeds go back into community preservation initiatives such as tours, events, and project facilitation.

Happy week everyone! We’ve been busy unloading some really fun new treasures to the floor and wanted to give you a look.

If you’ve been working on a space refresh or a weekend project, we have a great mix of finished furniture and raw salvage waiting for a new life.

We swapped the warehouse for the classroom today!

We had the wonderful opportunity to speak to a class at High Point University about all things historic preservation, local history, and architectural salvage.

We missed taking shots of the actual presentation but we did grab a few shots of our walk across their beautiful campus.

A huge thank you to HPU for inviting us out alongside Mendenhall Homeplace and our parent organization preservationgreensboro. We love getting to share our passion for local preservation beyond our warehouse walls!

Take a look at these incredible handcrafted room box displays. They were generously donated to us by a local gentleman whose dad meticulously detailed these spaces years ago for contests.

Originally, they were filled with tiny furniture and intricate details, but even in their quiet, stripped-back state, the artistry is clear as day.

From the tiny embossed tin ceiling tiles to the hand-laid herringbone floors and realistic vintage newspaper insulation, the patience and care shine through every corner.

Ohh and not to mention they light up!
