📸 Picture Day is TOMORROW!

Time to get those hockey smiles ready! A few reminders for Wednesday, October 21:

🔹For photos, players should wear full gear and their BLUE game jersey, not their practice jersey.

🔹Practice will still take place during pictures, so please also bring practice jerseys and practice socks!

🔹Still waiting on game socks? Great news! They’ll be handed out tomorrow.

🔹No helmets for photos. We want to see those smiling faces!

‼️If you haven’t already, please remember to register for photos.

Our GYHA kids traded their sticks for flag duty at last night’s Greensboro Gargoyles game! A pretty awesome way to kick off a night of hockey. 💙❤️

Thanks, Greensboro Gargoyles, for giving our Stars a moment to remember! 🙌

They're learning a lot more than how to skate.

Small skates. Big dreams. Greensboro Stars.

Thank you, FOX8, for shining a spotlight on GYHA and the next generation of hockey players right here in Greensboro!

We’re proud to help kids build confidence, make friends, and fall in love with the game. 💙

Watch the feature and show our Stars some love!

Between the Carolina Hurricanes contending at the top of the NHL and the Greensboro Gargoyles taking the ice right here at home, youth hockey in the Triad is experiencing a massive surge in popularity.

Ever wonder WHY 6U & 8U hockey looks a little different?

Small-area games, station-based practices and lots of puck touches are all intentional. At this age, it’s about building skills, confidence and a love for the game.
More touches. More reps. More FUN.

Parents: don’t worry about rushing to “real hockey.” This IS real hockey, built for where your player is right now.

That’s why we do it this way.

New to hockey? Let’s talk JAMBOREES!

If you’re a first-time hockey parent, you might hear “jamboree” on the schedule and wonder what exactly you signed up for. 😅

A hockey jamboree gives young players the chance to play multiple short games against different teams, which means more puck touches, more opportunities to learn, and plenty of time to simply play hockey and have fun.

At the 6U/8U level, it’s not about wins, losses, or filling up a stat sheet. It’s about building skills, confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game. ❤️🏒

Swipe through our Hockey Parent 101 guide to learn what a jamboree is, what to expect at the rink, and why they’re such a fun part of youth hockey.

And the timing couldn't be better because som of our teams are headed to their first jamboree of the season this weekend!
