We are celebrating 25 years of providing services for our amazing participants. For 25 years we have called Presbyterian Church of the Covenant home which is now Citadel Ministries. In the late 90's a group of parents came up with the idea that grew into After Gateway. What began as a Adult Day Health program providing day supports and respite to 4 participants in two classrooms has expanded to over 50 participants and includes not only Day Supports but Community Living Supports, Long Term Community Living Services and Supported Living Services. We are continuing to grow and are in need of a new space.
This expansion and the cost of moving to a new location make our
$25 for 25 campaign more important than ever. We are asking 2000 individuals to donate $1 for each year After Gateway has been operating. Staff Training Day August 2026

To better understand AGI participants ,
our Classroom Coordinators set up Experiencial Empathy Centers , focused on the 5 major senses
Sight, touch, taste, hearing ( audio) and smell ( olfactory)

How would it feel if you were to be instructed to build a tower of blocks in assorted colors, but you have limited mobility with your hands and you may be color blind ...
Or
You are hungry for pudding but unable to vocalize this... then someone gives you applesauce instead and no conversation ....

Our team strives to give the best care for our participants every day
This day, we learned to care a little bit more 🫶🏽

We had been planning a Luau party for almost a month. But Rain on Monday cancelled our outdoor plans. 🙄... best part was instead of 1 day, we turned it into an entire party week. 🥳
Day 1 was leis and grass skirts and photo booth. Each class had a different gross motor activity from extra large jenga blocks, dance party and table sandbox scavenger hunt.
Thank you to all the families and staff that donated to the buffet style cuisine and prize bags ( sorry, no food pictures)
