🌞💦 Hydration Station: Stay Cool, Stay Healthy! 💦🌞
The temperature is rising, and it’s the perfect time to keep everyone refreshed and energized!

ECERS-3 Item 8: Meals/Snacks reminds us that water should be easily accessible throughout the day.

✅ Children can serve themselves when appropriate (small pitchers, fountains, or personal water bottles)
✅ Teachers encourage water breaks, especially after active/gross motor play and during hot weather ☀️

🚰 Most importantly, children can access water without waiting for adult permission—supporting independence and healthy habits!

Let’s make hydration fun, easy, and a regular part of the day! 💙

We agree fully!!

“So tonight, while the players chase the Cup, let’s celebrate our youngest learners as they practice, play, and grow...one goal, one pass, and one discovery at a time!”

Let’s go Hurricanes!!

It’s Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals tonight for the Carolina Hurricanes , and we’re thinking about all the ways early learning is a lot like hockey!

Children build skills through practice, teamwork, movement, communication, and problem solving...just like players on the ice. Whether they’re stacking blocks, sharing materials, trying again after a tumble, or cheering on a friend, young children are developing the “game day” skills they’ll use for life.

So tonight, while the players chase the Cup, let’s celebrate our youngest learners as they practice, play, and grow...one goal, one pass, and one discovery at a time!

From first words to storytelling and science, children grow their language skills at every stage. Teachers should encourage children to explore books and model a love for reading. This joy inspires children to build early skills like letters, sounds, vocabulary, and a lifelong love of books.
