Oak Ridge Military Academy was honored to welcome members of the Daughters of the American Revolution to Maple Glade for a special luncheon.

Guests enjoyed fellowship and a presentation from Mrs. Wilson, who shared stories from ORMA’s long and remarkable history, drawn from her upcoming book, *The Ridge*.

🏛️ An Afternoon of History, Preservation & Fellowship
The Guilford Battle Chapter, NSDAR, was honored to be welcomed by Oak Ridge Military Academy for a gracious luncheon and historic home tour of Maple Glade House, one of North Carolina’s treasured historic properties located on the Academy’s beautiful campus.
Our sincere appreciation goes to Caroline Ruch, Historic Preservation Chair, Charlene Wilson, and the entire Historic Preservation team for organizing such a memorable afternoon. Their dedication to preserving and sharing our state’s rich heritage was evident throughout this special event.
Following a delightful luncheon, guests enjoyed an engaging presentation and walking tour of Maple Glade led by Guilford Battle daughter Charlene Wilson. Through her knowledge and storytelling, Charlene brought the history, architecture, and remarkable stories of this historic home to life, reminding us of the importance of preserving these places for generations to come.
The afternoon was a wonderful reflection of the DAR commitment to Historic Preservation, Education, and honoring the people and places that have shaped our American story.
Thank you to Oak Ridge Military Academy for your gracious hospitality and to all who made this beautiful afternoon possible.
