1. English Language Training (ELT): English language classes and/or tutoring for adults
2. Employment Readiness: English language classes that focus on how to find and keep a job
3. Health Education: P
rograms designed to give clients the ability to obtain, understand, and use the information needed to make wise health choices
4. Community Orientation: Programs designed to give clients information about fundamental aspects of life in the United States including Community Services, Housing, Transportation, Employment, Education, Health, Managing your Money, Rights and Responsibilities, and Cultural Adjustment
5. Citizenship Preparedness: Courses that provide clients with the Civics knowledge and English language skills needed to pass the USCIS Citizenship test and interview
6. Early Childhood Classes: Program designed to prepare the children of clients attending the New Arrival School for entering the public school system
7. Community Liaison: NAI seeks to bring parties together to increase open communication and effective interaction between clients and key stakeholder groups within the community. This includes community outreach, providing cultural competency training and referring clients to appropriate community services
The New Arrivals Institute is not only a resource to educate refugees and immigrants, but also serves as a resource to the community at large concerning refugee and immigrant issues
