Today, we proudly celebrate the swearing in of Tami Munsch as President of the National Conference of Women’s Bar Associations.

With her inspiring theme, Lead Loudly, President Munsch called on each of us to lead with courage, confidence, and purpose—to tell our stories, celebrate one another’s successes, build meaningful connections, and create opportunities for others to lead.

Her message was a powerful reminder that leadership is not about being the loudest voice in the room. It is about using our voices to lift others, strengthen our organizations, and shape the future of the legal profession together.

As NCWBA begins our new board year, we are energized by President Munsch’s vision for a year defined by collaboration, innovation, and the collective strength of women leaders across the country.

Congratulations, President Munsch! We are honored to stand beside you and can’t wait to see all that we will accomplish together.

Here’s to a year of Leading Loudly—lifting one another, celebrating every success, and shaping the future of the legal profession together. 🎉

Great leadership starts from the inside out.

At the 2026 NCWBA Women's Bar Leadership Summit, we're excited to welcome Melissa Romano, a multi-certified professional in health, healing, and social work, owner of Reclaiming Healthy, and author of the Vagus Nerve Deck: 75 Exercises to Reset Your Nervous System.

Melissa's keynote will explore how women lawyers can step into their leadership power with greater clarity and confidence by addressing the internal barriers that often hold us back. Through insights grounded in polyvagal theory, somatic therapy, and mind-body practices, she'll examine how self-doubt and imposter syndrome affect not only our own confidence, but also our leadership presence, communication, and organizational culture.

Whether you lead a bar association, a legal team, or are looking to strengthen your own leadership journey, you'll leave with practical tools to build resilience, lead with authenticity, and help your team thrive.

📚 Coming just before the Summit! Melissa's newest book, Everyday Nervous System Regulation, will be released by Penguin Random House just ahead of the event. Pre-order your copy today and bring it with you to Chicago!

Every women's bar association has its own story—but many of us share the same challenges.

How do we recruit and retain members?
How do we develop future leaders?
How do we create meaningful programming?
How do we ensure our organizations continue to thrive?

The good news? We don't have to solve these challenges alone!

As current NCWBA President Jami Cooper reminds us, "When women lawyers come together with a shared purpose, we create something far greater than the sum of our individual efforts."

That's the power of community.
That's the power of women bar associations.
That's the power of NCWBA.

Join women's bar leaders from across the country in Chicago on July 31 for a day of leadership, collaboration, idea-sharing, and inspiration. Together, we'll strengthen our organizations and the future of women in the legal profession.

📅 Registration closes Thursday, July 16. Register today at https://ncwba.org/programs/womens-bar-leadership-summit/2026-summit/
