Our Greensboro Lions supported the T1Diabetes fundraiser for medical research and assistance to those with type 1, insulin- dependent diabetes. Formerly JDRF, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the name was changed due to many developing the disease later in life, as an adult., as did our former Mayor Nancy Vaughan. The Gala raised over $1.2 million and we were proud to support their efforts.
