Thanks to the Future Fund of Greensboro, we can help more local entrepreneurs sustain and grow their businesses.
The Future Fund of Greensboro, an initiative of the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, is investing in the cityâs future by awarding $60,000 in grants to six nonprofits advancing economic mobility across Guilford County. Founded in 1999, the Future Fund was established to inspire a spirit of philanthropy among young professionals and to ensure that Greensboroâs next generation has a voice in shaping the communityâs future. Members contribute annually to a growing endowment, then come together each year to learn about local needs and determine where their collective dollars will have the greatest impact. Through this shared process, the Fund has awarded over $660,000 in grants to local organizations that strengthen the community.
The Future Fundâs mission is rooted in a simple but powerful idea: that meaningful change happens when people work together to invest in their hometown. Guided by its four core areas of interestâeducation, workforce development, entrepreneurship, and financial stabilityâthe Fund supports programs that open doors to opportunity and promote long-term prosperity for all. Each year, members focus on a specific Field of Interest, and the 2025 grants reflect a deep commitment to expanding pathways toward economic mobility. This yearâs six nonprofit partners exemplify innovation, collaboration, and measurable community impact, offering local solutions to some of Greensboroâs most pressing economic challenges.
