Every great mission needs people working behind the scenes to help make it happen.

This month, we're spotlighting Paige Grubbs, our Finance Director!

For the past two years, Paige has played a key role in helping United Way of Greater Greensboro responsibly steward the resources that support our mission and strengthen our community. Her thoughtful leadership and dedication help ensure we're positioned to make a meaningful impact where it's needed most.

When she's not at work, you'll likely find her cheering on the Greensboro Grasshoppers, traveling somewhere new, or relaxing at her happy place: the beach. One day, she hopes to own a Corvette and travel to Australia, England and Ireland!

We're grateful for everything Paige brings to our team and the strong foundation she helps build for our work every day. 💙

Join United Way of Greater Greensboro for Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 25th. Families can enjoy a welcoming space to dress up, collect treats and spend time together.

Through her relationship-building and dedication to our mission, she helps turn generosity into impact for local families and individuals.

When she's not working, Carrie enjoys volunteering, spending time with family and friends at the coast, and cooking for the people she loves.

Her passion for community is evident both inside and outside the office, and we're grateful for the leadership she brings to our team every day.

💼 Meaningful employment can open doors to long-term stability and opportunity.

That's why United Way of Greater Greensboro is proud to partner with New Arrivals Institute for their Helping Immigrants and Refugees with Employment (HIRE) Program.

Led by New Arrivals Institute in collaboration with Church World Service Greensboro, the Montagnard Association of NC, and UNCG's Center for New North Carolinians, the HIRE Program helps immigrants and refugees build workforce readiness skills, connect with employment opportunities, and navigate pathways toward economic independence.

This partnership reflects the power of collective action. By working together, we're helping create opportunities for newcomers to thrive while strengthening our community as a whole.

Last week, we welcomed Employee Campaign Managers, workplace partners, strategic partners, and community supporters to our 2026 Campaign Kickoff & Open House. Together, we celebrated the generosity that powered last year's campaign, cheered on our car giveaway finalists and winner, connected with partners, and prepared for the year ahead.

Workplace campaigns are about more than raising dollars. They're about bringing people together to create opportunities for local families and helping build a Greater Greensboro where everyone can thrive. 💙
