I Am A Queen is excited to share an opportunity from one of our valued partners — Guilford Park Guys, a mentoring program designed specifically for teen boys in grades 8–12.

This inspiring initiative is led by male students from North Carolina A&T State University, who serve as mentors and positive role models. The program provides a supportive space for young men to grow in confidence, leadership, and character.

Location: Guilford Park Presbyterian Church, Greensboro, N.C.
Start Date: Fall 2026 (Thursday, August 27)
Schedule: Thursdays | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

FREE Wellness and Community Event in Greensboro

After 18 years, I Am A Queen has officially concluded our annual Back to School Giveaway. This year, we served 1,212 children and family members, bringing our total impact to more than 23,000 people throughout our community.

Through this event, we also established two legacy scholarships in honor of two cherished supporters, Uncle Ray Crosby and Renee Vaughn. Their love, service and dedication will continue to impact girls for generations to come.

We truly believe I Am A Queen completed our assignment through this event—and we ended on a high note!

Thank you to every donor, volunteer, parent, partner and community member who helped make this 18-year journey possible. Whether you donated a backpack, gave financially, volunteered, shared our posts or allowed us to serve your family, you are part of this legacy.

Although our standalone Back to School Giveaway has ended, we encourage families to continue supporting the many wonderful back-to-school events happening throughout our community.

This is not the end of our service—it is a transition. Moving forward, we plan to provide school supplies to girls attending our annual Teen Empowerment Conference each July as we continue our mission of mentoring, leadership development and building confidence.

The assignment was completed. The impact will continue.

Join us on Saturday, August 8th, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM for an evening of community, fun, and giving back!

We will be providing FREE school supplies for students entering Kindergarten through 5th grade, while supplies last.
