Today we wee honored to graduate our 2025 Future Leaders Academy cohort. These IOB associates were able to learn about all aspects of the company directly from the person responsible for that particular role.

They learned about finance from our Director of Finance, production and quality from the Director of Manufacturing. They also learned about HR, payroll, history, purchasing and business development. As part of learning about production, the associates were able to shadow a supervisor to learn about the day to day operation of managing people.

Congratulations to our future leaders, Cassandra Avery, Brendon Brown, Roderick, Wilson, Abraham Bustos, and Scott Robles.

Below are photos of the group accepting their certificates from IOB President and CEO Joshua Gould and Director of Human Resources Susan Williams.

We would like to give a huge shout out and Thank You to the Lowe's Home Improvement Store # 2771 located at 2005 East Cone Blvd here in Greensboro, NC.

This location selected us as their Hometown Hero and had Lowe's associates come out and revamp our outside space by 33 & Elm Coffee House IOB's coffee shop.

The Lowe's Team created beautiful outdoor seating space for IOB associates and coffee shop patrons to enjoy.

A huge Thank You goes to Daniel S., Store Manager, Jeremy W., Assistant Store Manager, Wayne A., Department Supervisor, and Wyeth S., Department Supervisor. These gentlemen put in the hard work to make this a wonderful outdoor space to enjoy lunch or just a conversation. Thank you to the Lowe's Team. We truly are honored that you chose IOB to be your Hometown Hero.

Below are before and after photos of the space, along with photos of the Lowe's Team who did the work.

As Ictober is National Disability Emplyment Awareness Month, we are proud to recognize Doris Yancey for her 30 years of dedicated service. Doris cuts the moisture wicking t-shirts IOB produces for our Military. She is one of the hardest working people you will ever meet and we are honored that she works with us.

Below is a photo of Doris with IOB CEO Joshua Gould. He is presenting her with a plaque.

National Disability Employment Awareness Month marks one of the most important times of the year for Industries of the Blind. We are dedicated to offering competitive career paths for people who are blind, and NDEAM provides an excellent opportunity to highlight the capabilities of our employees.

Facilitated by the Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy, National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) raises awareness about disability employment issues and celebrates the many contributions Americans with disabilities make in the workplace.

All month long we will be celebrating the capabilities of our associates and the dedicated work they perform to provide goods and services to federal, military and commercial customers through the AbilityOne Program.
