On this day, 10 years ago, 14 women and 1 man were in Orlando, Florida chasing a dream. We had just been dealt a heavy blow by management of the former team we had signed on with when he just abandoned us. We decided not to let him or his insecurities defeat us. We picked ourselves up, begged and borrowed equipment, packed ourselves like sardines into 1 15 passenger van and decided to go take our game back.
And that we did. To the ladies who have played and who are now playing - thank you for taking up our mantle and keeping the fires burning.
One love, one heart, one team. The sisterhood.
