🌟 Today’s campers. Tomorrow’s leaders.

YMCA Camp Weaver’s Overnight Counselor in Training (CIT) program gives teens ages 16–17 the opportunity to grow as leaders, mentor younger campers and build skills they can carry into every stage of life! 💚🙌

Over three weeks, CITs develop childcare skills, explore camp activity areas and learn what it takes to be a positive role model. During the final week, they put their training into action by working alongside experienced camp staff in cabins with younger campers. It’s an opportunity to build confidence, strengthen teamwork and make a meaningful impact on the next generation of campers! 🌲⛺

🚀 Ready to take the next step in your teen’s leadership journey? Register for Overnight CIT at YMCA Camp Weaver!

💚 Financial assistance is available on a sliding scale based on household income and/or extenuating circumstances. Applications open September 1 and close December 31.

The adventure continues with a day trip to Hanging Rock and tarp camping on Camp Weaver’s new property, where teens will cook their own meals and sleep in tents. No previous outdoor living experience is needed, and essential camping gear is provided!
