The Greensboro Chapter of Las Amigas Incorporated had the distinct honor of attending the “Standing Up for Democracy” 66th Anniversary Gala in support of the International Civil Rights Center & Museum.

Held at the Koury Convention Center, this inspiring evening celebrated the enduring legacy of the Greensboro Sit-Ins while honoring those who continue to champion justice, equality, and civic engagement.

We are proud to stand in support of preserving this powerful history and advancing the values that continue to shape our communities.

The Greensboro Chapter of Las Amigas Incorporated enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of fellowship and fun while playing bingo with 20 senior residents at Guilford Health Care Center. 💜🩷

Our sisters were delighted to share laughter, conversation, and friendly competition with the residents, creating meaningful connections and memorable moments. Community engagement and service remain at the heart of our mission, and we are grateful for the opportunity to bring joy to our senior community.

The Greensboro Chapter of Las Amigas Incorporated was honored to participate in the Juneteenth Triad Farmers Market as we celebrated freedom, culture, community, and economic empowerment.

Our sisters enjoyed engaging with community members, sharing information about our organization, and highlighting our commitment to service through our programmatic thrusts of Education, Health, Family, Economic Development, and Political Awareness.

We were especially delighted to have the opportunity to connect with 21st Past National President Agatha Grimes, Sister Zina Baldwin, and Greensboro Mayor Marikay Abuzuaiter as we celebrated this important occasion together. Their presence helped make the day even more meaningful as we honored the legacy of Juneteenth and the importance of community engagement.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, shared in the celebration, and supported our mission. Together, we continue to honor the past, celebrate the present, and inspire the future.
