The IGrow Study at UNC-Greensboro is seeking 2-year-olds and their mothers to participate in a research study! Help them learn about healthy child growth and development!

Mothers and children will participate for about 3 years. Participants receive a total of $450 and small gifts for them and their children over the course of the study.

Of the 5,974 babies born in Guilford County in 2021, 44 babies died before their first birthday. The county infant mortality rate was 7.6 per 1,000 births–over 10% higher than North Carolina’s rate of 6.8 and over 40% higher than the national rate of 5.4. This month is near and dear to my heart, as it is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness and remember our losses.
