Our costume rack is officially stocked, but we can ALWAYS use more as these head out the door! If your little ones have outgrown their gently used costumes, we’d love to find them a second home with a Family Market guest. 🧡

🍼 Diapers distributed! 👶

Our latest Guilford County Diaper Bank Drive-Thru giveaway helped 157 children receive 6,898 diapers. A big thank-you to Lebanon Baptist Church for volunteering their time.💚💙

💙September 9th is Cora Day at BPB💚

Cora had a deep love of reading and created a class project combating food insecurity. She had a heart for others, and one of the best ways we can remember her is by giving back to children and families in our community. Her family does just that as regular volunteers. On what would have been her 8th birthday, we invite you to join us by choosing one simple act of kindness:

👶 Another diaper giveaway THIS weekend!

Need diapers for your little one? Join us on Saturday, August 29th from 10–11 am for our Drive-Thru Diaper Giveaway at BackPack Beginnings. Families with children in diaper sizes 1–6 can receive diapers while supplies last.

Important reminder:
🍼 Child(ren) must be present OR bring a birth certificate or passport

💙Staff Development Day!💚

Our BackPack Beginnings team spent today together, growing, bonding and visioning, including choosing our “why,” writing our leadership statements, dreaming about the future, revisiting our core values and strategic plan, and enjoying a creative team-building activity with Thea Deloreto | Abstract Art.🎨

A huge thank you to First Baptist Church Greensboro for donating the space and to Thea for helping us get creative! 🫶

And in true Sweet 16 fashion, we celebrated by presenting appreciation certificates to 1️⃣6️⃣ of our amazing corporate supporters who help make our work possible. 🎉

And while we were busy working on ourselves, our incredible volunteers were holding down the warehouse and keeping things moving. Thank you for always having our backs! 🥰

A BIG thank you to stylists Dlissa and Shelbie and Leon’s Beauty School for donating their time, talents, and space last weekend to provide haircuts for some of our Family Market guests! 💙💚

The kids said “they are all ready to start school now”.🎒📚❤️

🏈 We recently partnered with Duke Football player, Bryce Davis, to give back to the Greensboro schools he attended. 💙💚

Together, we provided 1,080 pencils, 720 pens, 180 highlighters, 90 erasers, and 90 pencil pouches to help local students at Jones, Kiser and Grimsley start the school year ready to learn. ✏️

⛳ What a week at the Wyndham Championship! 💙💚

For 1️⃣2️⃣ years, Wyndham has been an incredible partner, donating more than $3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ to support our work.

A fun surprise—thanks to Jordan Smith’s hole-in-one on the 1️⃣6️⃣th hole, we’re receiving a share of 1 million Wyndham Rewards® points! 🎉

We also had a blast selling 50/50 raffle tickets, adding even more support for our mission. 🎟️

A huge thank you to the amazing teams from LT Apparel and Lincoln Financial for spending time with us today packing 5️⃣1️⃣5️⃣ Comfort BackPacks!🎒 Another huge thank you to St. Francis Episcopal Church & Day School for recently funding this program. 🙌

These backpacks provide comfort and essential items for children experiencing abuse or neglect, entering foster care, facing homelessness, or arriving as refugees. Every backpack packed today is a reminder to a child that they are seen, loved, and not alone during their difficult time. 💚💙

Each month, we pack 100 meal kits for families visiting our Family Market, making it simple to prepare a nutritious meal at home. Every kit includes all the ingredients needed for one meal. 💙💚
