🎉 Sweet 16! 🎉

16 years of showing up for local kids and families—and we’re just getting started.

Our new Sweet 16 Annual Report is a look at where we’ve been and what we’ve accomplished together.

From food and clothing to school supplies, the Family Market, Beyond the Basics, and our Guilford County Diaper Bank, our work keeps growing because our community keeps showing up.

Take a look at what YOU helped make possible. 💙💚

🚨EXCITING NEWS!🚨We are launching a new program...

🎉 Meet FlexWorks! 🎉

FlexWorks creates flexible, paid work opportunities for BackPack Beginnings’ Family Market guests who need work that fits around their lives.

🌟Our first project? 🎄Cooper’s Christmas Balls!🎄

Thanks to Cooper, who is passing along the Cooper’s Christmas Balls he started in 5th grade, FlexWorks participants will learn how to make the balls, earn income, and help keep this local tradition going.

This program is about more than Christmas decorations. It’s about creating opportunities, building skills and helping families move toward greater stability. 🙌 Our goal is to grow FlexWorks by adding more projects and opportunities— reach out if you have ideas!

🎄Want to support families by purchasing Christmas balls? They will be sold in our warehouse starting mid-October. More details to come but start spreading the word!

Welcome to FlexWorks! 💚💙

School supplies → packed kits → backpacks → happy kids! 🎒✏️ 😃

In July and August, we collected school supplies, turned them into 2,443 school supply kits, and distributed a backpack + kit to 2,443 children through our Family Market!

A huge shoutout to Centric Brands for donating supplies AND helping us pack the kits. We couldn’t have done it without all who donated! 💙💚
