MCL-Greater Greensboro Detachment 260

MCL-Greater Greensboro Detachment 260 Detachment 260 of the Marine Corps League was founded in September 1972 by 32 charter members. Today Come see who we are and what we do, and have dinner on us.

We have our monthly meetings on the 2nd Monday of every month. We meet at the Golden Corral on Wendover Avenue near Sam's Club & Cracker Barrel. Dinner begins at 6:00pm (1800) with the meeting beginning at 7:00pm (1900). Marines, FMF Corpsman, FMF Navy Chaplains, and/or their dependents can join our Detachment.

My thanks to RV Wakefield, Joe Deering and Jim Hayes for assisting with Toys for Tots at the NC Stangs event at Crossroads Ford in Kernersville. Jim has offered to be the Toys for Tots Chairperson and we will be setting up locations where we can gather toys.
Your support at future events will be of great assistance.

MCL-260 Members and any Veteran:

I had contact today from a Navy Vet in Virginia, whose father-in-law, a Navy veteran/retired Marine, is here locally. Brian (the Navy vet in VA) asked if it would be possible for any Marines to stop by for a few minutes on or about November 10th for the 250 Anniversary and say hello. Brian thinks it will be a great experience for him.
He is at the Whitestone Rehab Center, Wellness and Care building, Room 101. His name is Bonnie Ray Hutto, retired Master Gunnery Sergeant, USMC.

This will make a a day for a Veteran in rehab!
