WE ❤️ Crim & Sons Asphalt!

NEW PARKING LOT! First layer completed today! Many thanks to Crim & Sons Asphalt for doing an amazing job for us! Top coat will be applied Monday. Sealcoating front lot on Thursday and then restriping both lots on Friday.

This new lot will be an unbelievable blessing for our VOLUNTEERS and our CLIENTS! Much, much easier for our volunteers to walk the parking lot and much better for our clients vehicles!

We do lots more than serve food around here!
Monday, we were blessed twice!
1) Dan Leary (KendraDan Leary) - one of our long-time volunteers, provided training to all of our fork lift folks on PROPANE safety! So grateful to have smart people around us!
2) John Moran (owner of Sunnyside Greenhouses) - another one of our long-time volunteers, donated 3 beautiful hydrangeas for our the 'required' landscape bed in the front yard! We lost several of our bushes over the winter. Thankful for John's generous donation in memory of one of our recent volunteers, Jimmy, who recently passed away.
So many of our volunteers have been helping us for 5, 10, 15, even 20+ years - it's an amazing family of WONDERFUL people!

CLOSED - Wednesday (1/28) AND Thursday (1/29) - due to frigid temps.

We do our best to stay open - but when the temps get this low - it’s not safe for our older volunteers to be outside loading vehicles for our typical 60-90 minute shifts.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We WILL re-open next week - please be patient with us next week as it’s also the first of the Month which is normally busier than usual.

We will be open Mon, Tues, Wed and Thurs. Check out our hours on our website - www.hancockcountyfoodpantry.net

Normally, our busiest shift of the week is Monday 1-2:30.
