Today and everyday we are grateful for the Community Foundation of Hancock County but, most recently, for their generous grant of $10,000!

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to our community?

At Talitha Koum, we are dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and restorative home for women on their journey to recovery.

To continue this vital work, we are currently looking for compassionate women volunteers to join our team! Whether you have a few hours a week or a heart full of support to offer, your presence makes a difference.

We are looking for help with:

Mentorship & Support: Providing a listening ear and encouragement.

Life Skills Coaching: Sharing talents like budgeting, cooking, or creative arts.

Drivers: Help transport residents to work, medical, dental or therapy appointments.

House Assistance: Helping with daily operations and creating a welcoming home environment.

Special Events: Assisting with outreach and community gatherings.

Recovery is a journey best traveled with others. By volunteering at Talitha Koum, you aren’t just helping run a house you are helping women rebuild their lives, restore their hope, and reclaim their future.

Healing is Possible. Recovery is Real.

April is Alcohol Awareness Month, and at Talitha Koum Women’s Recovery House, we believe that every woman deserves a chance to rise. The name "Talitha Koum" means "Little girl, I say to you, arise," and this month, we celebrate the strength it takes to do just that.

Alcoholism doesn’t just affect an individual; it ripples through families, friendships, and communities. But here, we turn those ripples into waves of hope.
The Path to Transformation
Recovery isn't just about stopping, it's about starting.

It’s about:
• Reclaiming your identity beyond a substance.
• Restoring relationships with loved ones.
• Renewing your sense of purpose in a safe, supportive sisterhood.

How You Can Support
Whether you are on your own journey or want to support someone else's, awareness is the first step toward breaking the stigma.

1. Educate: Learn about the signs of alcohol use disorder.

2. Encourage: Reach out to a woman in your life who might be struggling.

3. Empower: Support safe spaces like Talitha Koum that provide the foundation for long-term sobriety.
