Well it's been a few days and I think we are still recovering from Saturday night! We celebrated and honored Evan with lots of laughter, storytelling, and maybe a few tears too. We are always blown away by the support of our community and are grateful to all that were able to make it to the event, donate, bid, and most of all, have a good time.

One person's impact can continue long after they are gone. This is always a part of the speech I give when I get the opportunity to share a little about Evan when giving a scholarship in Evan's memory. Yesterday, I heard from THREE different people about my Evan. Each person let me know that Evan is still thought of often. To those people, thank you for saying something.

What's our 'why?'

This picture of my Evan shows him at the happiest time in his life. He was all in, ready to join the fire service. When he made the decision to start working towards becoming a firefighter, I honestly believe he found his true self. I'm grateful I had a front row seat in seeing how this one decision led to confidence, determination, and joy.

Evan's foundation helps men and women just like our Evan. We hope there are young people out there that see Evan's story and are encouraged to go for it like Evan did.

Our BIG fundraiser for the year is on September 19th. We hope you can join us to see more of 'why' we continue to grow this foundation. It is more than a fundraiser. It is a night for all of us to come together and remember the special man we lost almost three years ago. Come and continue Evan's story with us!
