Fairgrounds General Rules
There are no fires or fire pits of any kind allowed on the fairgrounds. Pets must be on a leash (8 feet or less) in all areas (including campgrounds) and be current on vaccinations (proof must be available upon request). Pet waste must be picked up and properly disposed of. Be courteous to your neighbors and other visitors. Golf carts, ATV’s or UTV’s are not recognized as state-approved handicapped vehicles. Only ATVs, UTVs, or golf carts used by grandstand personnel, maintenance personnel, and the Adair County Fair Board or Adair County Extension members will be allowed around the Adair County Fairgrounds. The public can drive ATVs, UTVs, or golf carts onto the fairgrounds, but vehicles must be parked and are not allowed to be driven around the fairgrounds. NO skid loaders or mechanical equipment of any kind are allowed in any barns before, during, or after the fair. NO PARKING stock trailers/trucks in the pit area or around the barns. Once trailers are unloaded, they must be parked in the designated area west of the campground or leave the grounds. Violators may be towed away at the vehicle owner’s expense. ALL visitors, participants, campers & others must abide by fairgrounds rules and the code of conduct and youth code of ethics or you may be asked to leave and may be subject to losing camping or other privileges. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. CURFEW: Approved by Adair County Fair Board; enforced by Adair Co. Sheriff and Reserves. The Sheriff shall have charge of the grounds under the control of the President, Directors, and Reserves during the exhibition and it shall be their duty to reserve order throughout. No personal vehicles shall enter the fairgrounds from 12:00 midnight to 5:30 am, except in the case of an emergency. All vehicles on the fairgrounds shall remain parked during these same hours. No one will be allowed in or near the livestock barns and corrals from 12:00 midnight to 5:30 am. Those staying overnight must be in their designated camping area. During the Adair County Fair alcoholic beverages are only allowed in the pit area and campsites. No gambling, immoral exhibitions, intoxicated persons, or illegal drugs will be permitted on the fairgrounds. The Adair County Fair Board reserves the final and absolute right to interpret all rules and regulations and to determine all matters, questions, and differences arising from incidents at the fair. Fair management will decide all disputes arising out of any confusion. The Adair County Fair Association, Adair County Fair, Adair County Fair Board, Adair County Extension; and their agents, officers, and employees will not be held responsible in case of accidents, breakage, theft, fire, any acts of God, and all causes of action, liabilities, loss, and claims resulting from or the participation in any events held at the Adair County Fair.
