The Landing - Hancock County

The Landing - Hancock County "The Landing" is a recovery program for students ages 13-19 . A safe place to be real and deal with whatever is going on in your life...

The Landing is a 52 week program for teens ages 13-19 that seek understanding and a different way of life. For some, that means dealing with pain. For others, it could mean finding freedom from an addiction. Others might just be hung up on something you can’t seem to move past. Whatever your reason for attending, healing can be the result. It is a safe place for teens when life gets crazy or they'

re ready to deal with the "stuff" of life. In exchange, they find healing and freedom. We value Christ, confidentiality, deep connections with others, plus the occasional fun event to blow off some steam.

We're so excited to see everyone tomorrow at The Landing! 🎉

Whether you've been coming for a while or tomorrow is your first time, there's a place for you here. Come hang out, make new friends, enjoy some great conversations, and know that you're accepted just as you are. We can't wait to spend the evening with you!

💙 Teen Tip of the Week: Your feelings are real, but they don't have to control your actions. When emotions feel overwhelming, try the 5-4-3-2-1 grounding technique:
👀 Name 5 things you can see.
✋ Touch 4 things you can feel.
👂 Listen for 3 things you can hear.
👃 Notice 2 things you can smell.
👅 Think of 1 thing you can taste.

Taking just a few minutes to slow down and ground yourself can help you feel calmer and think more clearly.

See you tomorrow! We can't wait! ❤️

They can also be a powerful protective factor when it comes to substance use and addiction.

At The Landing, you don’t have to have everything figured out. Come as you are. Bring a friend. Meet some new people. Have some fun. 😎

🎭✨ WE ARE OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT! ✨🎭

We are beyond excited to announce that our 1st Annual Unmask the Struggle Gala is officially SOLD OUT! 🎉

What an incredible response from our community. This event is about more than one evening—it’s about coming together to unmask the struggles surrounding addiction and mental health, break the stigma, create hope, and remind people that recovery and transformation are possible. 💜

🎤 We are honored to introduce our guest speaker, Tony Hoffman!

Tony’s story is one of resilience, transformation, and second chances. After paroling from prison in 2008, Tony dedicated his life to turning his experience with addiction into a platform for hope and service.

From becoming a BMX Elite Pro and placing 2nd at the 2016 Masters World Championships to coaching Brooke Crain at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Tony’s journey truly shows the power of rewriting your story.

Today, Tony is a nationally recognized motivational speaker, TEDx speaker, and co-founder of pH Wellness. His mission is to inspire change, break the stigma surrounding addiction, and help others recognize that their past does not have to determine their future.

We cannot wait for our guests to hear Tony’s powerful message at Unmask the Struggle. ❤️

To everyone who purchased tickets, supported this event, shared our mission, sponsored us, or helped make this night possible—THANK YOU. Selling out our very first gala means more than we can put into words.

🎭 The masks are coming off. The conversations are beginning. And together, we are breaking the stigma.

🌟 MENTAL HEALTH CHECK-IN! 🌟

Hey, you. Yeah, YOU. 👀💙
When was the last time you did something just because it made you feel good?

Taking care of your mental health doesn’t always mean doing something huge. Sometimes self-care looks like:

🎧 Putting on your favorite playlist
📵 Taking a break from your phone
🚶 Getting outside for a little while
🎨 Drawing, gaming, reading, or doing something creative
💬 Talking to someone you trust
😴 Getting some actual SLEEP (yes… scrolling until 2 AM counts 😂)
💛 Reminding yourself that it’s okay to have hard days

✨ SELF-CARE TIP: Try giving yourself 10 minutes today to do something that helps your mind slow down. No pressure. No expectations. Just 10 minutes for YOU.

And remember—you don’t have to figure everything out alone. The Landing Place is here to be a safe space where teens can connect, be themselves, and feel supported. 🫶

👇 YOUR TURN: What’s one thing that helps you recharge when you’ve had a rough day? Drop it in the comments! Maybe your idea will help someone else. 💬✨
