Friends of the Hancock County Public Library is a membership-supported, non-profit organization that raises money through the sale of donated books, DVDs, CDs, and video games.

Did you know that we sometimes receive items other than books as donations? No, we are not a thrift store so please do not try to donate your rummage sale leftovers. But if you have a collectable that you think we might like and are willing to donate, send us a message on Facebook! We can let you know right away if it is something we would enjoy!

Today, we have a wonderful collection of Franklin Mint Star Trek ships. We have the U.S.S Enterprise, the Next Generation Enterprise, the Romulan War Bird, and Romulan Bird of Prey. All 4 come with their stands. These are used and have some slight defects/chips/damage so they will be sold as is.

Two smaller ships with no stands - $25

Calling all young readers!! Are ready for your next big adventure?

It’s time to gear up for our upcoming book sale brought to you by the Friends of Hancock County Public Library. Ask your mom, dad, grandma or grandpa to bring you to the Hancock County Public Library! Heck, beg your favorite aunt, uncle or older sibling who drives to arrange your visit! You won't want to miss this!

We have a special mission for you: grab one of these awesome "Battle of the Books" drawstring bags and fill it to the brim with your favorite kids' books for only $3.00!!!

The Challenge:

Pick Your Bag: Look for the light blue bag which can be found with one of our cashiers at the sale entrance.

Fill It Up: Hunt through our massive selection of children's stories and picture books.

Utilize your allowance (or ask mom or dad! 😆) to pay your bag of goodies for only $3.00!

One Simple Rule: This bag is specifically for kids' books only! No young adult books, please!

Whether you're looking for princes or princesses, a story about your favorite doll, or racecars and fire trucks, there is a treasure waiting for you. Let’s see how many stories you can fit into your "Battle of the Books" drawstring bag!
