Greetings all,
On behalf of the JU Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce that Jazz Unlimited is launching a series of live music events we are calling "Jazz Unlimited Presents A Showcase of Emerging Jazz Artists!" This series will feature recent JU Scholarship winners and it kicks off this Friday, August 14th, at The Vine Humboldt Beer Garden! We are pleased to be partnering with the following great venues for this initial series: The Vine Humboldt, Kegel's Inn, and Vendetta Coffee. Here is the schedule of initial JU Presents! events:
Friday, August 14th - 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The Vine Humboldt Beer Garden

Performing will be a combo comprised of recent scholarship winners: Colton Klingenmeyer on keys, Ben Morris on guitar, Henrik Sagmoen on bass and Malik Smith on drums!
Saturday, August 15th - 9:00 to 11:00 p.m.
Kegel's Inn

We are co-sponsoring Kegel's After Hours Jazz Night, with Joel Lehman's GIL Jazz featuring Jason Goldsmith, with special guest performer, recent scholarship winner Lilly Talbot! Additional scholarship participants may appear. NOTE: Reservations required. $15 online, $20 at the door.
Friday, August 28th - 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Performing will be Bailey Strasser's new combo called Bay Street Collective, with Bailey on trombone, Joe Beach on guitar, Jacob Bartelme on drums and recent scholarship winner Noah Newman on bass. Additional scholarship participants to be announced.
Friday, September 11th - 8:00 to 10:00 p.m.
Vendetta Coffee Bar

Performing will be the "Aristotle Trio" comprised of recent scholarship winners Lilly Talbot on piano/vocals, Adrian McCants on drums, and Noah Newman on bass!
We hope you will consider joining us for one or more of these great events that will help JU raise its profile, celebrate its new logo and look and support its mission to promote the art of jazz in all its forms!
