A huge thank you goes out to all who attended our recent pop up events this past weekend for the start of our emerging jazz artists series. A huge thank you goes out to Colton Klingenmeyer - piano, Oliver Pape, Ben Morris, Henrik Sagmoen & Malik Smith for entertaining people at The Vine this past friday. Also a huge thank you goes out to Joel Lehman & The GIL Jazz Combo & Lilly Talbot for an amazing Saturday night as well at Kegel's Inn. Be sure to check out the Gil Jazz Combo at Kegel's Inn every 3rd Saturday from 9-11pm. Every month they feature somebody new. Be sure to check out our future events coming soon. First we have our monthly Open Jam this Sunday at Mezcalero Restaurant from 1-4pm. Then we have the debut of Bailey Strasser new group The Bay Street Collective on Friday, August 28th at The Vine. Then Lilly Talbot will be playing with her Aristotle Trio at Vendetta Coffee on Friday, September 11th from 8-10pm. We hope you are able to attend.

On behalf of the JU Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce that Jazz Unlimited is launching a series of live music events we are calling "Jazz Unlimited Presents A Showcase of Emerging Jazz Artists!" This series will feature recent JU Scholarship winners and it kicks off this Friday, August 14th, at The Vine Humboldt Beer Garden! We are pleased to be partnering with the following great venues for this initial series: The Vine Humboldt, Kegel's Inn, and Vendetta Coffee. Here is the schedule of initial JU Presents! events:

For our August 23rd monthly jam, we are not having a featured performer. We decided it would
be great fun to just have three hours of open jam, backed up, of course, by our outstanding
house band, Jeff Stoll on keys, Joe Turano on sax, and Joe Zarcone on drums. Musicians
come and sign up early and get in on the fun! 1-4 p.m. Mezcalero Restaurant, 69th and Forest
