But next Saturday, you can walk through one at Hancock Health’s FREE community health screening event at the Sue Ann Wortman Cancer Center!

The Colon Cancer Coalition’s giant inflatable colon offers an up-close look at colorectal health, including the differences between healthy colon tissue, colon polyps, colorectal cancer and other digestive conditions. You can also learn about signs and symptoms, screening options and steps you can take to protect your health.

Plus, free head and neck cancer screenings and prostate cancer screenings will be available.

Come join us for the Sugar Creek Township Fire Prevention and Life Safety Open House!

This is a completely FREE event for our community and there will be something for all ages. Come out, meet your local first responders, learn about fire and life safety, and enjoy a full day of activities, demonstrations, food, and more!

A couple demonstrations you won’t want to miss:

🐕 10:30 AM – K9 Demonstration
🔥 11:30 AM – Fire Behavior “Doll House” Demonstration — this isn’t an actual doll house! This demonstration uses a small-scale structure to show how fire and smoke behave inside a building and how different conditions can impact fire growth.

Throughout the event we’ll also have firefighter and law enforcement demonstrations, search dogs, free bike helmets, bounce houses, face painting, snow cones, popcorn, door prizes, health and safety booths, a seat belt convincer, and plenty more.

There is no admission cost — this event is FREE and open to the community. Bring the family and spend the day with us!

Three of our Hancock County VOICE youth advocacy groups set up tables and activities at their high school varsity football games last Friday to raise awareness of their youth movement, have some fun, and hopefully recruit new members! We are so proud of how our VOICE members are out engaging, educating, and empowering others in their schools and community in so many ways! Kudos to EHHS VOICE, MVHS VOICE, and GCHS VOICE!
