Música Franklin

Música Franklin Our music ensemble for youth development inspires love of music, self-respect, cooperation, and community. Monthly Community Concerts include a meal for all.

Música Franklin is based on the El Sistema music and social change program in Venezuela which aims to provide opportunity to students of all economic classes, races, and of diverse learning styles. The pursuit of musical excellence teaches students to strive for excellence in all areas of their lives. Our after-school program for youth meets in two locations: the First United Methodist Church and

Sheffield Elementary School.
- No fees or auditions.
- Music experience NOT required.
- We provide snacks.
- Targeted towards ages 7-14. One Community Concert each month features a performance by a local musician or group. We also bring students on field trips to see professional musicians. Música Franklin students perform regularly in the community, and our first year will end with a celebratory performance in a public venue. We plan to expand the program each year to include more children, elementary through high school ages.
