The first international Special Olympics games were organized by Eunice Kennedy Shriver and were held in 1968 at Soldier Field in Chicago. Indiana’s involvement began with those first games. OUTREACH
Worldwide efforts to have more athletes involved is the goal of Special Olympics. Indiana is focusing on the development of community-based programs in each county to include and increase th

Thank you to our longtime friends, the Knights of Columbus!!

The Knights of Columbus, a longtime partner of Special Olympics Indiana, is working alongside communities across the state to provide critical flood and disaster relief. Assistance may include access to food, clean water, shelter and other essential needs.

If you or someone in your community has been impacted by flooding and needs assistance, help is available. Email [email protected] to connect with the Knights of Columbus and learn how they can help.

In times of crisis, Hoosiers stand together. No one should have to face disaster alone.

Update:

Tonight’s dinner for our golfers was proudly sponsored by Hancock Health and our local program. ❤️

A few people from our management team delivered the 120 sandwiches, cookies, fruit cups, chips, and drinks from our rescheduled SOHC 1st Annual Golf Outing to the Henry Township Henry County Trustee to help feed individuals and families displaced by the flood who are currently staying in local hotels.

We are truly blessed to be in a position to give back and support our community during a difficult time. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. We are stronger when we come together! 🙏❤️

GOLF OUTING- RESCHEDULED

Due to the recent storms and flooding, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule our golf outing to Sunday, September 20, 2026. All food will be donated to Henry County to be distributed to families affected by the flood.

The updated schedule is:

* Registration: 12:00 PM
* Shotgun Start: 1:00 PM

We know this change may require some adjustments, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding and willingness to be flexible. The safety of our participants and the condition of the golf course are our top priorities.

We are grateful for your continued support and are looking forward to gathering together on September 20 for a great day of golf, fellowship, and fun!

Thank you for your understanding.

Best,

🚨 ATTENTION GOLFERS 🚨

We wanted to provide a quick update regarding the golf outing and potential weather concerns. Due to recent flooding, the course is still very wet. If the course is not playable by tomorrow, the event will be cancelled. In the event of a cancellation, the golf course will issue a rain check to participants. Unfortunately, due to our fixed costs, any registration fee or sponsorship will not be refunded.

At this time, we are proceeding with the original plan as scheduled-

Registration begins . Shotgun start .

-If only half of the course is playable, we will play 9 holes and the golf course will issue a rain check for the remaining 9 holes.

-If any players choose not to participate in tomorrow’s event due to weather, they will be issued a rain check for 18 holes.

-If golf is cancelled due to weather, we encourage everyone to come to the course at noon for our silent auction and lunch. You may also pick up your rain check at this time.

We will monitor the weather closely and communicate any cancellation as soon as a decision is made. We will make the final decision by 10am, so be sure to check your email/Facebook before heading to the course.

This is a fluid situation that will require a last-minute decision, and we truly appreciate your understanding, flexibility, and willingness to adapt as circumstances change. We hope to see everyone at the course tomorrow!

Best regards,
