Thank you, Karla Vernon (Board member) for giving a great presentation. And thanks to the East Polk Rotary for having us out to do the presentation.

Another great Rotary meeting today! Thank you to Karla Vernon for educating us regarding Canine Miracles for Heroes. What a wonderful organization helping our military veterans and emergency personnel overcome the effects of PTSD through trained service dogs.

Karla also brought her uncle, Retired Army Lt Colonel Len Harnden, to tell us about the project he is working on to bring a Huey Helicopter for display to enhance the Vietnam Memorial in Baxter, IA. It was great to hear about the project and about some of his 39 years of service which included two tours in Vietnam! Thank you for your service!

Big thank you to all who came out to support Canine Miracles for Heroes at the Iowa Cubs game Saturday. Around 57 tickets were sold, so an estimated $285.00 will be donated to Canine Miracles for Heroes from a portion of each ticket sale. It was a great time! Thank you again! You all help in so many ways. We could not do this without you!

We are so humbly and earnestly grateful for Johnathan and Jessica at SAM’S PLACE . The biggest thank you for inviting us out to use your venue and getting all the wonderful donations for the silent auction. We had a wonderful day with many visitors. Thank you to all who came out to take a look, bid, and/or purchase a silent auction item. There were 11 items donated. Thank you to all the donors that were so thoughtful and willing to donate an item. All those donated items brought in $1,850.00. You all have made such an impact on so many people and will further the mission of CanineMiraclesforHeroes. Thank you also to the Canine Miracles for Heroes boardmembers that were present. Your help is greatly appreciated.

CM4Hs services Iowa. We train and place service dogs with Veterans and Emergency personnel with symptoms resulting from PTSD or other trauma. In an effort to help more Veterans and emergency personnel we also help those individuals train their own dog.
