Congratulations to Kacie Ford! Kacie is the 2026 recipient of the Ray and Rae Leto Scholarship. Mr. Leto was a longtime principal at Greenfield High School, where most people just referred to him as "Chief," a nickname that stuck with him for life from his former students. Mr. Leto went on to substitute at Nodaway Valley Schools in his retirement. While Mr. Ray Leto was known for education his wife, Rae, was known as a beloved nurse in Greenfield.

Throughout the summer, we will continue to highlight the 2026 seniors that received scholarships on behalf of the Greater Greenfield Community Foundation. 🎓🎉

33 members of the Restoring Hope Missions of Northern Illinois volunteered 6 days this May helping complete work on 8 homes impacted by 2024 tornado. This is the third time this group has visited Greenfield, this was the first trip for some of the volunteers and others have been all 3 times. They will be making one more trip to Greenfield this fall.

A heartfelt thank you to all those of Restoring Hope Missions of Northern Illinois for their time and hard work. Thank you to all of the local churches who housed and fed the group during their stay. 💚

💰Proceeds will go under The Gathering Place account
🛍️ Funds will be used for emergent situations where people may need shoes or clothing. Those in need can get items free of charge when sent by a local church or groups helping those with needs.

The Hygiene Pantry has some emerging needs as the resource continues to grow in usage. Items in current need are:

*Baby wash
*Baby shampoo
*Diaper rash cream

📍Donations may be dropped off anytime in the box at the east entrance of the Gathering Place (102 SW Kent Street, Greenfield).

Monetary donations are accepted to purchase items needed. Donations can be sent to GGCF/Hygiene Pantry, PO Box 13, Greenfield. Or donate online at the link below (select Hygiene Pantry from the drop down menu):

Another Good News Concert is coming up! 🎤🎶 Sounds of Inspiration are next in the Good News Concert series. They will be performing at That Gathering Place on May 31 at 5:00pm.

Voices Raised children's choir enjoyed a successful spring concert! 💙❤️ Their concert was Sunday, May 3rd, at The Gathering Place and celebrated America's 250th birthday. A patriotic theme carried throughout the day from the music, to the decorated sanctuary, and even the refreshments afterwards.

👀 Watch out for information coming this summer about Voices Raised fall session!
