As the local partner, the Greater Greenfield Community Foundation wanted to share a bit about the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. First being the program will continue as the Dolly Parton Imagination Library carefully prepared for the future of the organization. So any child in Adair County under the age of 5 can still register to receive a free book each month until their 5th birthday.

Adair County has been a chapter of the organization since 2022 and has distributed 6,395 books to date. The Greater Greenfield Community Foundation serves as the local program partner meaning the Foundation provides funds to cover the wholesale cost of books and mailing.

The Foundation is accepting donations to help support this program and ensure Adair County children have access to high quality, books in their homes.

Mark you calendars through the end of the year! 🎤🎶 Coming up next is Harbour Lights Gospel Quarter on August 30. In September the Good News Concert Series is welcoming a new group, Mid-South Boys!

Good News Concerts are the first Sunday of each month at 5:00pm at The Gathering Place, but keep your eyes peeled for special events. 👀

Congratulations to Abbigail Zenor! Abby was selected as 1 of 8 recipients the Foundation had the honor of awarding a Mabel Ferber Scholarship. Mabel Ferber was a lifelong Greenfield resident and former teacher in Adair County. The Mabel Ferber Scholarships are awarded to well-rounded students taking into consideration grades, school participation, work experience, and community service. Congratulations! 🎉

There is still time to register for Voices Raised youth choir! 🎤🎶

The Voices Raised youth choir’s fall session starts September 9th, culminating with a performance on Sunday, December 13th at 2:00pm.

⭐️Children grades 1st through 6th are eligible (NV, home school, private school students are all welcome)
⭐️Rehearsals will be on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:15pm at the Nodaway Valley Elementary

📢Sign up now to have your child be a part of this amazing opportunity! Not sure about joining? Try out the choir at any of the first three rehearsals.

There is no cost to register, but each participant will be expected to purchase a uniform shirt ($10) and provide black pants and shoes for the performance.
