Dolly Parton believed in giving back and helping children dream bigger—and this year, we’re celebrating that spirit right here in Adair County through Give Like Dolly Day.

The Hygiene Pantry continues to be an exceedingly important resource to many in our community and could use some restocking:

Donations may be dropped off anytime in the box at the east entrance of the Gathering Place (102 SW Kent Street, Greenfield). Monetary donations are also accepted to purchase items needed. Help NV FFA fill the bucket! 🚜 The NV FFA is collecting non-perishable food items and hygiene items during the first half of the homecoming football game on Friday, September 25th. Items will be donated to the Hygiene Pantry and Methodist Church Food Pantry.

Congratulations to Iris Westphal for being nominated for the Farmers Electric Cooperative Shine the Light contest! 🎉 Shine a Light is a statewide contest hosted by the Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives.

Iris was nominated for the tireless volunteer work she does for the Adair County Hygiene Pantry at the Gathering Place. We'd like to thank the local Farmers Electric Cooperative who donated $300 towards the pantry and their recognition of Iris and her work.

Thanks to Iris and all our wonderful pantry volunteers, who are truly lights in our community! 🌟Thank you to the Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives for sponsoring such a worthwhile contest that recognizes community members who are making a positive impact within their communities.
