Imagination Library of Greene County Tennessee Providing books to the children of Greeneville and Greene County
Email: [email protected]

In 1995, Dolly Parton launched an effort to benefit the children of her home county in east Tennessee. Dolly wanted to foster a love of reading among her county’s preschool children and their families by giving each child one free, age-appropriate book per month from birth to age 5. The program has seen phenomenal success and has grown to over 72 million free books delivered throughout 4 countries. A community must make the program accessible to all preschool children in their area. Friends like you finance half of the cost of these books and the Governor’s Books from Birth program finances the other half. From there The Dollywood Foundation takes over and manages the system to deliver the books once a month to each child. We ask you to help by telling all new mothers about the program so we can enroll more children.
