Greene County Wood Ministry Help keep the residents of Greene County warm during the winter months.

Volunteers haul, cut, and split wood between Monday through Saturday at the corner of North Rufe Taylor Rd and Old Stage Rd and deliver on Saturdays and throughout the week.

Reminder to those who have tree services cut down trees; we do not haul away pine or any soft wood, regardless of what the tree service company tells you.

It’s that time of year when leaves are changing and temperatures are dropping, which means one thing, people will need firewood !!

The wood ministry always needs volunteers to make that happen!! Be it pulling a trailer to deliver wood, riding with someone to assist in delivering, pulling a lever to operate a splitter, operating a chainsaw, lifting/moving wood to be split, anything and everything helps us accomplish our mission !!! Donations are also much appreciated along with many prayers!!

We’re open every Saturday at 656 Old Stage road behind the large warehouse from 8:00 to 3:00.

Big thank you to Reformation Lutheran church for a great breakfast this morning to get the many volunteers off to a rousing start and then followed up with an outstanding lunch at Asbury United Methodist church.

All of our volunteers thank you both very much!!
