We are stewards of a closed conservation herd that provides an environment mimicking the wild buffalo natural habitat. Buffalo Ridge Ranch: we’re not your typical buffalo operation. We put true conservation of the wild buffalo first—preserving genetics, healing soil, and restoring the land along the historic Buffalo Trace near Winchester, KY. Located between Red River Gorge and Lexington (minutes

from Bourbon Trail stops), we invite you to join our guided tours and events to experience the herd safely, walk restored pastures, and learn the real story. All tours must be scheduled through our website due to our inability to control the weather. Please, NO DROP-INS, this is a working ranch!
