IF ITS WHITE DONT BITE. The road to a Carb-Less LIFE After years of denial, the road to recovery has begun. Our quest to "follow doctors orders" and tend to the elephant in the room! Turns out it was ME! OUCH

No Carb Eating, especially …IF ITS WHITE DONT BITE! Translation: Eat mostly Meat/Chicken/Fish-non breaded, Vegetables, Fruit, Cheese, Eggs. Most Veggies and Fruit have some Carbs but keep the Carb intact to about 50G a DAY!!! Yes it seems daunting but I am proof it can be done…and actually without much effort. I do miss sandwiches and fresh bread but it is worth it……I do cheat but not much, if tha

t pie is staring at you just eat a skinny slice…it makes you feel better just don't let it be a habit! I have changed my lifestyle…you can too!

I’m not sure why but since I have been off carbs and sugar.. I have had such a odd reaction to salt! Ugh it’s like too much in everything and I used to love it! Weird! ..anyone else had this issue?

Whew! Spinach alert! I had been seeing this recipe that was keto friendly.. but ewe it called for spinach and boy oh boy it was too overwhelming. It had —
Chicken cutlets, mushrooms, spinach, cream cheese, olive oil, chicken broth, mozzarella cheese & spices. Sounded good but... Lordy not! No carbs but after I scraped the spinach off and mist the mushrooms (not a fan) the chicken was tender and ok... then I ate a milk dud to get the yucky taste out of my mouth that would not go away! Wonder how many carbs in a dud? Geeez!

It has been 11 days back on board with eating correctly, the great news is my blood monitoring has been encouraging from 276 to 126 today(on meds and looowww carbs) but not sure there has been weight loss, I’ll weigh on Tuesday at my doctor visit to see if it’s getting under control! I think yes! It has been more doable this time since the blood sugar situation has presented itself. Full Steam ahead, I got this!

I’ve had a good week, keeping my carb count down... it’s easier this time because it’s not just for my weight, my blood sugar is in horrible range. Started meds 4days ago and so far so good!
FYI...Turns out cabbage has 5 carbs per cup.. that kinda broke my heart as well as a cutie tangerine 8 crazy carbs, how Is that fair! Onward and upward.

Sour Kraut and weenies for lunch
Big salad for super!

4pm-Sirloin steak 6oz, broccoli, boiled shrimp, salad( I was starved!)
